The Signing Professionals Workgroup’s efforts are intended to facilitate the development, use and openness of SPW Standards for the benefit of members, competitors, vendors and Signing Professionals in the mortgage finance industry.

The Signing Professionals Workgroup Standards and the Certified Signing Specialist designation are governed by the SPW’s Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy. The IPR Policy may be found in Section 9 of the Rules and Procedures. Upon joining the SPW, members must agree to abide by the IPR Policy. At the beginning of every in-person meeting or conference call involving SPW business, the chair or president must read the Antitrust and Intellectual Property Rights Disclosure and Consent found in Section 5.5.2 of the Rules and Procedures.
